Back to the TBN.....it isn't the starting TBN that's important, it's the TBN of the used oil when you drain it that counts. Certain additives will provide TBN that lives longer than others additives. These are usually the chemicals that are the detergent additives in the oil. Trust any of the good brand name oils.
