I have a 2016 2500HD with an exhaust leak, sounds like it is coming from the driver's side of the engine compartment. Do the newer 6.0's still have the exhaust bolt problems that the earlier trucks had?

Yep. When I had mine I swapped the all out with ARP stuff before they broke.

yes they still have exhaust manifold bolt issues. a lincoln and a spare 13mm nut makes this a quick job.

Haven't thought about doing that to my 2021. But it wouldn't be a bad idea I suppose. Already replaced them on my two old trucks.

we have a bunch of 6.6L L8t trucks. do it with ARP hardware before it’s too late.
Didn't know it was still a problem to this day. I imagine it's the same story with my 6.2 and others' 5.3's. Well I'm convinced, guess I'll order them and tackle it on a slow weekend.
ARP 134-1104 is the P/N for standard 6-pt hex. Wasn't too bad on the T1XX truck, couple spots kinda stunk to get to but never the less better than welding a washer/nut fetching broken bolts later on. Standard fare... pull the wheel liners. Coincided with undercoating the snot out of the body.
A little anecdote... For some reason years ago when I did the Suburban when it was fresh from Texas, I mistakenly bought 12-pt, but I am not planning on removing them at all.

GM cannot wrap themselves around the fact that exhaust systems expand and contract with heat. i’d love to explain it to their engineers.

It isn't just GM. I just helped someone do them in a 2014 6.2 Ford.
Here is a temporary poor boy fix. Permatex sells Ultra Copper sealant. Place it between the block and manifold anywhere the bolts have broken and the manifold flanges are leaking. Ultra Copper has no copper it it. It’s a super high temp sealant that is copper colored.
