5W30 in a 3.0 V6

2006 ford freestyle, 3.0 V6 (are these engines near bulletproof and long lasting like ive heard?) calls for 5W20, gonna put some Havoline DS 5W30 and a motorcraft filter. should the 5W30 hurt it?

Absolutely not. Havoline 5w30 is a super-thin 30wt., it's basically almost a 20.

If this is the Duratech a friend has one in a 2000 Taurus with 340K all on Mobil 1 5w30.
