Holy cow that is a boat load of moly!

Even twice of what Red Line uses and people say they have a lot. Obviously they know you aren't going to get any hydrodynamic lube with a 5w20 so they are relying on the moly.

How many mile on the car. If it is still breaking in, that's pretty good. Actually doesn't look horrible either way...I was expecting worse of the 5w20's. But it definitely could be better IMO, especially the Iron and Aluminum. Personally I would use 10w30. The only thing I would use a 5w20 on a car for is possibly lube the hinges with it

I wonder if the source of that moly isn't from both the rings and from a possible moly additive from the factory for break in?

The oxidation number looks really good for a factory fill oil with 5k on it.

The wear numbers don't look too bad, but I bet they would be lower with a 10w30. What oil do you have in there now Troy?

As it says at the top: An Acura at 5,000 miles.

As it says at the bottom: It's break-in oil.

This isn't my car. My car is a Honda Insight with Amsoil's 5W-20.

P.S. I really should start analyzing my Insight oil. I'm not convinced that 5W-20 can hold up for 7500 miles. What's a good, CHEAP analyzer?
