I may be tasked with finding a reman 5.7 Hemi for a '12 Ram 1500.
There are some other threads here about rebuilders, but a couple years old. I thought a fresh thread and with a particular focus on the Hemi might be useful to me.
AER makes mention on their page of how Ford and Chrysler dealers can setup an account, so I wonder if they supply CDJR dealers? (we all know they supply Ford)
What about Fraser? Any experiences?
Finally, on the topic of used: I like the idea, but the Hemi's head problems have me a little concerned about maintenance. Furthermore, used engines with 160-180k look to be $3k. I found one with a claimed 118k and it was nearly $4k. With reman prices at $4200-4500 it's difficult to explain to a customer why an engine with 118k miles is better but doesn't save them any money.
