I'm waiting to hear from Terry on this one. This is my best report ever even though it is low miles. I now have GC in the engine to see how much better it might do over M1. I like the lower Iron and Silicon. Everythink seem to be trending down except fot the 2nd to last UOA which was durring the winter. I dumped this oil early to try GC. I'll post the results in 3,000-4,000 miles!

Comments please!!!!

Chris it looks great and I kind of wish you stayed with M1 bc things are going in the right direction. It's clear this engine is breaking in very well and notice how much Fe has leveled off at the 18k mile mark. One has to wonder if the 3MP study followed the similar pattern. * Notice the lower P as well. New GF4 specs.

Buster what do you mean new GF4 specs?

I'm going to try GC just to see if it better for my engine. If not or only slightly better I'll be going back to M1 for sure. So far my engine is louder on GC then M1 believe it or not!!!!!

Buster,

When will oils have to meet GF4 specs? Does CG and Mobil 1 already meet GF4 specs.....will conventional oils meet the GF4 specs??

Thanks.

I guess it's common knowledge that most of the copper is from the design of the oil pump in relation to the rest of the engine.

But I wonder if some of the copper isn't also coming from some kind of copper based RTV sealant such as Loctite 5920 Copper, Permatex Hi-Temp silicone gasket, or some kind of Copper Hi-Temp Gasket Sealant Spray?

Fuel Power and Lube Control.
Very good products that work well. I found them on this site. You will see that a lot of folks use them with good results.

You will notice that my insolubles were .2 this UOA. Last time they were .4 as I did not use LC in the right amount. Using LC right this time cut insolubles in half!

Yes, I know but the only reason I dropped this M1 is because I was in a hurry to see how GC did in my engine.
