??? The only Manual Valve issues I've seen on these is when it gets bent from human error. Now I have seen symptoms like this with low AFL pressure caused by a worn AFL Valve bore. As both shift solenoids are "Off" in 2nd gear.....So if you don't have enough AFL pressure, That will be the default ratio!

But, I would like some shift solenoid scan data while it's acting up!

Yeah after reading the sonnax article on the AFL it sounds like that could be the issue instead of the shift valve. The description on sonnax s website for the shift valve made me question that.

I still haven't gotten a scanner. I managed to find one semi affordable option for a Bluetooth one but they are still around 90 bucks.

It is hard to find time to play around with this as I don't drive it very often since work provides me with a truck. I only put 4000 miles one it in a year.

Looking at the cost of parts and time it might just be more affordable for me to just get a rebuilt valve body from sonnax. I found a place that list the price for them at only $450.

No advantage other than cost, The Ported Sleeve type that Sonnax uses would last longer in theory. However.....I have used the TG kit for years & years without any issues.

I like Sonnax A LOT, They make VERY high quality products.....This is just one of those areas that doesn't call for their approach to make a quality-long lasting repair.

The TG AFL valve has wider lands than a OE valve that helps prevent side-load wear of the valve body.

That makes sense.

Is some of the transmaxx stuff on rock auto the same as sonnax? Some of the pictures of their parts are identical to the sonnax website pictures. Rock auto also has rebuilt valve bodies from transmaxx with the same picture from the sonnax website in that same $450 price range as I found the sonnax. They also have a cheaper different brand one for $250 but I don't know if I would want to temp fate that bad.

I have no experience with rebuilt valve bodies as I rebuild them myself.
