Looking on rock auto for trans filters for the avalanche. The ac delco is $30. Hastings brand has theirs for $14. Both are for the deep pan I have and both include the pan gasket. Anyone used the hastings?

Judging by the pictures on Rockauto, AC-Delco gives you a rubber gasket while Hastings has cork. The ATP photo doesn't show the gasket, but it should come with a black fiber gasket that I have had good luck with.

Rockauto also has a Magnefine in that filter list--reboxed as ATP JX150. However, the 150 they list is 5/16". Your truck should take the 3/8" JX160. I use a 3/8" Magnefine on a 2001 Silverado, spliced into a section of rubber line marked 9.5mm.

I would go with the ATP, their fiber rubber gasket is hard to beat. I have never had a leak with them ever.

I'm not a fan of cork, but if you install it right, they won't leak either. Basically, make sure everything is clean & dry!

I found that wix makes a filter for this truck, would that be as good as the ac delco?
