Lots of little oil pipes to feed things ?

Really cool split crankcase, the longest crankshaft EVER seen, and some surprisingly big valves and cam. But no pour in bearings!

We're hoping he'll do a dyno pull. That intake manifold is a NOS piece that was a high performance option or something.

You realize you are only telling half the story here?

I don't know. But I'll make sure and ask him next time I talk to him.

I'm also trying to figure out the power output of this old monster. If I remember right, these engines were around 350 cubic inches displacement.

Compression was probably 7/1 or less. Power was artificially limited because of steels and alloys available then. [and poor fuel]

Case in point Sir Harry Ricardo's "200hp" tank engine. 6cyl, 186c.i. per cyl, 4:1 compression (running kerosene), but still got 0.45lb/hphr fuel consumption, which is right on the pace these days with computer controls.
