Hankook tire. 4 years old. Every tire completely dry rotted. These came new on a 2022 Kia. I have classic cars with 20 year old tires. No dry rot at all.
18,000 miles on the car!! But it's not the mileage, it's 4 years and these tires are done, done, done.

We had our Kias come with Nexen tires, no dry rot but they were wearing fast and were losing traction as fast as gaining in being noisy.
Very happy with winter and summer Generals on Forte and Sumitomo all seasons on Sportage. Winter Uniroyal tires I run on Sportage are the reason I'll never buy that brand again.

Our Carnival came with Hankooks. So far so good after nearly 2 years, but I also run separate winter tires so the Hankooks aren’t on year round. I will say that the VikingContact 7s ride nicer than the Hankooks.

Where do you live is it parked outside or in a garage? Do you ever use UV protection on your tires? On my old Toyota 6 years wit Hankook I never had this happen it was parked outside but I consistently use UV protection.

"Mavis" is a tire shop chain in my region.
They have a UTQG-100,000-mile tire (forget the model's name) which is made by Hankook.

Thanks OP, you got me thinking.

I've had no problems with my Hankooks in terms of the rubber aging. They are Kinergy GTs that came with the Tucson. 6 years old and no cracking and I've felt no decline in the handling characteristics. That being said, I'm not really a big fan of them. My Michelin X-Ice Xi3 winter tires ride smoother and quieter than the Hankooks! I feel like any half-decent all season tire from another brand are probably going to be an improvement.

The sidewalks on my new Accord aren't aging well for 8k miles

All 4 the same like this? If so I guess they had a bad batch? Ran them low on pressure? Or maybe they got really hot at some point? Store them near an electric motor in the winter? There's quite a few ways to wreck tires, but in normal conditions, I agree that cracking like that isn't acceptable on the sidewalls. I find quite a few tires have small cracks in the tread rubber even at 4 years, and work fine, but the sidewalls and rubber under the tread should be pretty durable.

I've had a number of Hankook tires. Not one of them has been good quality. I know some folks love them. I have no idea why. The Hankook's on my F150 have 15,000 miles and already are due for replacement. Michelin's of the same size typically last me 40,000 miles.
Same - only tires I literally put to the curb at 10k - and felt a bit guilty over who took them - replaced with Eagle GT that had far better wet road performance …

Not Hankook but a set of Vredsteins I purchased from tire rack in November 2022. I contacted them for a warranty claim and they state they are within the limits for dry rotting. Going back to Michelins.
