Are these newer fuel injected 4 stroke jet skis easier on batteries than the older 2 smokes? Then again back 10-15 years ago they didnt have all these fancy battery maintainers they have now

Yep. Assuming they filled it. Usually they do that after it's bought. They never charge the just filled battery correctly.Fill it and ship the boat out.
Oh, they still do that? Figured it would be a regular battery you can take the two big caps off and add water when needed and already filled when bought. I haven't even looked at it, but apparantly its in the back of the boat under a storage compartment.

I was very active in the Waverunner community, and most PWC owners think highly and prefer Yuasa batteries. Even the AGM you have to fill as they are dry-shipped. Just fill as directed, and charge as directed, and you should get 5-8 years out of them. I always use a Battery Tender 1.25 amp charger. I have used Yuasa batteries in all my PWC, and all my motorcycles.

I'll have to remember that. So dont buy any of those sealed group 30xt agm batteries they're saying fits my waverunner?

I do not know about that size- my googlering says 30xt it a RC/drone battery ? I recall all my bikes and Waverunners took a YXT14-BS or a YXT16. Also, I might be wrong about "still having to fill the AGM as its dry shipped". I have to check my R1 to see which Yuasa I bought. I have yet to buy a Lipo battery for a bike/ski , they were still $300+ when I last needed one.

I probably remembered wrong

AGMs are always filled and sealed by the factory. Since the acid cannot spill out it is OK for them to ship by UPS etc in a ready to install condition.

The last 2 agm batteries I bought for the quad and the sxs came dry. They came with the acid I added it then put the batteries on a 2a charge.
