Will you please help me diagnose this problem?

The lawnmower acts like the jet is clogged. I take it out and clean it, and it runs for about 15 minutes. Then it acts like it runs out of gas. I hit the primer button, and the it runs to two seconds and dies, like the jet is clogged again. Somehow it's not getting enough gas.

Filter is clean and new spark plug...

Any ideas on what I could check out?

When I had this happen before it was a bad gas cap. like a venting problem. Try running it with the gas cap off and see what happens. I know the riding lawn mowers had vented caps, not sure about the push mowers.

Do you have a fuel filter on this mower?

Perhaps your gas tank vent is not working. Try running it with the gas cap loose to see if it runs longer.

If your mower does not have a fuel filter on it, then I would install 1

I put 1 on my Toro SuperRecycler 20 years ago and no more carburetor problems.

Take off the gas cap and clean out the vent hole. Ed

Does this model use a fuel pump?

I put 1 on my Toro SuperRecycler 20 years ago and no more carburetor problems.

I have no filter on my 1995 Craftsman and I never had carb issue with it.
