303 Protectant for Headlights?

The best way I've found to restore headlights is to wet sand them w/600 grit and clearcoat them with spray paint.

Yuck...NuFinish is a hard-to-work-with wax product that leaves more residue than most others...no way.

I use 303 on flexible convertible plastic windows, as well as dashes, etc. I let it set then buff..seems to work well, but my convertibles are garaged. 303 should be fine here, but for hard plastics I recommend, and have used for 25+ years, aircraft canopy cleaner; Plexus or 210.

It works to remove the cloudiness and make it look good again. But the "sealant" part of it seems to do very little. That's why I'm going to try the 303 (since I already have it on hand) to see if it helps. I just cleaned the headlights yesterday and then applied some 303. We'll see how it goes.

I can't tell that the 303 does much, unfortunately. I still haven't found anything that keeps them looking good for long.

I've used it on my 06 Accord....works. What I did was buff it once sets for a while. Got my original lenses and they still look factory.

Same her on my 07 Accord headlights still looked like new...no haze or yellowing,,303 is good stuff...they use this stiuff in the USAF on the glass and plexiglass on aircraft.

In efforts to keep my headlights looking new and now that my vehicles sit outside all the time. I purchased the 3M protective film off ebay and put that on my headlights. Super easy to do and the cost wasn't that bad. For my 2014 Cruze it was $35 and for our 2016 Suburban it was $50 which included the fog lights.

To get bad lens's clean, I always wet sand with 1000, then 1,500 and then 2000 and polish with hand drill and pad. Helped a few friends with their vehicles this way. They couldn't believe the difference.
