My 2022 outlander takes 255/45/20. I just bought 4 used tires that are almost new. Two are 255/45/20 and two are 285/55/20. I measured the circumference of all 4 tires and all are the same. Can I put all 4 of these tires on my outlander? It’s an AWD vehicle that automatically switches to Front wheel drive and to AWD when needed.

I wouldnt do that with an AWD vehicle. All tires need to be the same size or you are asking for serious trouble.

laws of physics apply you are incorrect or typo'ed a bunch of stuff.

but to answer your question no I wouldnt. I would not even mix 2 brands same size.

Can you elaborate on the “Law of Physics” comment and I’m confused about the “typo’ed a bunch of stuff”. I don’t see any typos so I’m wondering if you made a mistake and were trying to reply to someone else.

"Two are 255/45/20 and two are 285/55/20"
Those tires arent remotely the same size. height or width.

and if you reversed the numbers (typos)
ie they actually were 255/55r20 and 285/45/20 they still arent close enough.

no not advisable even if the 285's could fit the rim the height difference, width difference could cause damages to the AWD and it wouldn't work as designed. what made you make the purchase without first researching this?
