Impressive.

Not really liking many EV designs personally. I can look over some of them, but some are just busted. Trying too hard to standout or is it the battery design dictating design?

Not for that sized battery. It's what I'd expect for such a giant electron tub.

So this isn't technically on the Neue Klasse platform.
Kinda confusing, and there have been many claims about the Neue Klasse platform. I believe the iX5 electric will be based on the CLAR (vs NCAR) platform but will get some of the innovative Neue Klasse tech. The exterior design seems to follow the Neue Klasse style. I understand the iX5 will use the Heart of Joy; but to what degree? It would seem silly to think otherwise.

So it appears the iX5 is not pure NCAR, but incorporates the new platform where appropriate.

The Neue Klasse NCAR platform was all electric, then it wasn't, now maybe it is?

I'm sure it's gonna sell well here in Richmond BC where there are people with money and desire to impress their friends and neighbors and people who actually don't care with a new expensive car, who are confusing new ugliness for new style.

I helped my neighbors to get the refreshed (better EV tech) 2026 Lexus RZ 300e Premium. Very nice EV. It will not have the power or range of the BMW, but is much more $$ friendly. It's not as tall as many SUVs.

A range I could love. But it looks like Toyota designers got into it and added facets and fake air scoops and weird angles that are unnecessary.
