2024 Subaru WRX TR

I bought a WRX in 2020 with the intention of trading it in for the new model. When I saw what the design of the new model looked like with all of that cladding, along with the elimination of the STi, and the minimal performance gains, I decided to keep my 2020.

How does it ride on the highway? Lots of tire noise? The stock Dunlops on my VA are noisy on the highway, but when I change to winter tires it actually rides pretty good.

I paid 29k for my car in 2020 (2k off sticker.) The same car five years later is $40,000. I won’t be buying another WRX unless they make some major changes like bringing back the STi or hatchback.

The cladding on the front and sides have grown on me, but that rear end is something else. I’m not sure what Subaru was thinking with that design.

Oh and it has been the most reliable car I’ve ever owned. Knock on wood, not a single problem with it. I run exclusively Pennzoil Platinum or Pennzoil Ultra Platinum along with an OEM oil filter. Change every 3k or 6 months due to how hard these are on oil with fuel dilution.
