That’s my problem with it, the pricing just doesn’t seem competitive.
Hopefully they can start dropping prices once the Ultium cells/motors/electronics reach higher volume production.

For a non EV, sure.Just ran the numbers, it comes in at just under $70,000. For Tax, Tag, Title, Dealer Fee and Doc stamps.
Seems like just yesterday we could purchase an SUV of the exact same size in the $30K range. Oh wait, it was yesterday.
That's the point. The EV is twice the price and goes half the distance. For a non EV, sure.
I'm sure they will sell the first 10-20k examples to must have it at price no object folks. I see the Blazer going down the Nissan Ariya hole where they then languish on lots and start getting discounted. I imagine in a couple months I might be getting a call from the "friendly" local Chevy dealer, I called ~8-9 months back on the Blazer and was told there were "like 80,000 people on the waiting list" so they were un-interested in talking to me about the Blazer EV at all but they took my information. I cannot wait for that guy to try to call me.
Sorry I have 60,000 reasons to not entertain your Blazer EV.....don't call me, I'll call you.
More specs recently out. The Blazer EV pricing is just ridiculous. Until lower-spec Blazer EV trims come out, you’d be much better off just buying a lower spec LYRIQ.
2024 LYRIQ Tech AWD is around $62,090. 500 HP, 102kWh and 190kw DCFC
2024 Blazer EV RS AWD is around $60,215. ???HP, 85kWh and 150kw DCFC
For only ~$1,900 more, you get a much faster LYRIQ, with a larger battery and more range. And a nicer interior.
85kWh AWD Blazer EV needs to get into the lower $50,000s to be competitive, IMO.
Some people will buy it solely because it is a Chevrolet.chinese junk uaw on strike because of this crap no one will buy
and some because it looks cool, priced right and a dealer around the corner. Some people will buy it solely because it is a Chevrolet.
Are they out yet? I am curious about the dealer markups, if any. We are so far removed for the days of MSRP discounts. They will be back one day, but the dealerships have used the pandemic shortages to their advantages, to say the least.and some because it looks cool, priced right and a dealer around the corner.
Depends on what you mean by "out yet".Are they out yet? I am curious about the dealer markups, if any. We are so far removed for the days of MSRP discounts. They will be back one day, but the dealerships have used the pandemic shortages to their advantages, to say the least.
I wish GM (and Honda?) luck in their EV ventures. That saying, and no disrespect for anyone or their choices, I am sticking with Tesla. No one else has the tech, EV experience and EV quality. No one else comprehends, or values, the word innovation. I do.Depends on what you mean by "out yet".
In terms of ultium platforms - in Q3 GM delivered 19 blazers, 18 Silverados, and just under 1200 hummers.
oops - add in 3108 lyrics although that been delivering for a bout a year now as has the hummer.
I hope GM can get ultium to deliver on its promises.
If it worked like the brochure Id prefer a blazer to just about any other EV.
What’s important to me is a vehicle that like you that fits my wants and needs.I wish GM (and Honda?) luck in their EV ventures. It seems this stuff is important to me because I live in the Innovation capital of the world. Innovation and "I can do that" has been pretty darn rewarding to me. Again, each to his/her own. All good.
