2021 G70 3.3l, with track time

So I took my 2021 G70 to the track twice, plus my daily driving for a total of 4k miles. . Oil was Castrol Edge 5W30. Looks like the engine and oil did great.
looks good but I'm confused why PDF are now not viewable but we can attach and download them
Are they scanned for being a malicious pdf?
@wwillson?

I believe it is in the computer you are using. Mine does the same thing, no matter what website I download a PDF from, even mail.
Previously I thought the attached PDF showed up similar to how you attach jpeg etc.. but perhaps that was another forum..
Currently cant view it on the forum(no preview or view) have to download the pdf.. not sure from a security point of view that its a good practice to allow attaching pdf for download.

We may disable uploads of pdf files.

BTW - pictures should always be inserted not attached. When attached, pictures show up as thumbnails, when inserted they show as a normal full sized picture, which is much easier to see.

I would agree with inserting the pictures except for if you are inserting 10 or so to me its polite to use thumbnails so the post isnt 10 pages.

Is there no way to display the pdf as an image?

Or maybe a security checkbox before it allows downloading..
IE download this file at your own risk are you sure.. type thing.

The current attachment of pdf is handy because you dont have to worry about the quality of the image
In other words not being able to easily read oil analysis report due to low quality picture.

But the security of it seems somewhat iffy.

What can possibly be attached to a 1MB pdf file? 🤔🤷🏻‍♂️

I’ve always downloaded them on my iPhone while using safari and never had any issues. Usually the PDFs are 1-2MB as normal.

Now if I see a 5-6MB pdf of a one page UOA, that may raise an eyebrow. 😆
