This filter and whatever Ac DELCO Oil is made by now was off of a 2021 Chevy Silverado with 3.0 engine and 4x4. My company bought this truck from local GM dealer near my work.

Truck has currently 5,559 miles on it and OLM was at 48%. Put Awix WL-10351 on and Safety Kleen synthetic 0w20 in sump.

Actually yeah, this replaced our 17’ Silverado reg cab truck. For large scrap runs we have a 22’ SAVANNA Van (GMC with v-8)
Wow, out with the "Kinda old" & in with the new...ha ha.

I can't believe GM still offers a fullsize van with a v8 but there appears to still be a market for them. Sounds like a Good scrap hauler though. Keeps everything contained inside the vehicle rather than having everything flying off the back of a pickup.

Small diesel as a "shop truck" is interesting.

Not knowing the typical drive cycles, any difficulty getting it to regen? That's always been an issue with bigger diesels that see lots of city use. Curious how the smaller 3.0L will handle it.

This is 3.0 turbo gas engine. Same as Buick Envision uses. Sorry about that🙈

Looks good, like it got the job done. Likely made by Champs Labs, they the ones who make, have made, ACD OFs. That said, after watching a you tube dissection same filter and looking at base plate oblong inlet holes, can't completely rule out M&H Purolator.

Thanks for c&p.

Thanks. How does the 4 cyl fare? Considering this in a year or two. Maybe not much gas savings compared to the 5.3 but they sure do discount the 2.7t nicely. Power on paper seems good.

Well it’s a 2.7 so mr horsepower could tell us if it’s 6 cylinder or….

If my eyeballs are working today the page I previously posted shows 430ft lbs of torque. That's the old Ford V8 7.3L Turbo Diesel power. Incredible!

The new colorado is also gonna use this engine (detuned). If they start doing 9k off msrp for the silverado 4 banger, I'd rather take this. Reviews I read are the fuel economy isn't better but the trucks cheaper.

Also, date code on this one isn’t champ labs or first brands
Not Purolator either ... seems to be unique to ACDelco. I'm guessing the "1172" is the 172nd day of 2021, which is similar to what Fram uses. Factory installed oil filters are always somewhat a mystery.

Purolator filters have this design for retraining the by-pass valve. If there is a photo of the opposite side of the filter media we could verify whether it is a Purolator.
