Greetings folks; sharing some UOA reports, hoping these are useful for the community.
Any insight & feedback is welcome!

I plan on testing a handful of brands & specs.

The Titanium seemed to have come down. That engine seems to have higher Iron than what I've seen from BS averages on other engines. Thanks for sharing these and good job.

Thank you for sharing.
Not a single sample stayed in grade.
What is the diesel fuel ?City vs highway use ? The unusual viscosity loss and the lowered flashpoints make it a candidate for a fuel dilution test elsewhere.
P.S. Checked some some UOA results of LR 3.0 & 2.7l. -all stayed in grade (one exception was a certain 5w-50 in a 2.7l. -it sheared to -40,as expected).

Apologies, I haven't paid attention to the Diesel type here in Southern CA. Perhaps more experienced members might know what CA fuel stations dispense.
I try to minimize city use for this motor, so I'd say 70/30 for freeway/city commutes.

Agreed on the observation that all the oils shear down rather quickly. Granted, the wear has been pretty decent so I'm not overly concerned.
I'll continue testing additional oils and report back. If you have any other oils you'd like to see tested, please chime in. Thanks!

Thank you for the answer!
From what I've seen these engines return nice wear numbers . The main reason td6/AJD/DT20 owners switch to higher ht/hs oils is not piston group and valvetrain wear concerns - and this (supposedly rather unpleasant) fuel dilution compromises the extra protection oils of higher ht/hs provide. I would by all means send the next samples to a different lab that would give more realistic fuel dilution numbers ,not guesswork by flash numbers - and oddly the ones estimated to have the highest % fuel dilution happened to be ...two passenger car ones , C3 .
I'd just stick to a good ACEA C3 in xw-40 or Low-SAPS HDEO in xw-40 and continue with it + Diesel Kleen (actually, look for a better lubr.improver if diesel is FAME-free) .

Diesel in CA is either B20/Renewable blend, D2/Renewable blend, R96+ or real diesel #2. I’ve only found real petroleum diesel in rural locations. I prefer real diesel #2 or the D2/Renewable blend if you can find it. I prefer Valero and Arco stations.

There is a LR mechanic guy on YouTube that says to not run 5w30 in these engines. I’m just a peasant who doesn’t own a LR and can’t speak from personal experience but I did watch a couple of his videos.
