Burned .25L between changes, normal for engine. High sodium reference was due to last change with Top Tec 6600.
Continuing with 8k OCI, half of the JLR specified 16k intervals. Will be tuning the ECU by the end of this year.
Refilled with same oil, Will be trying out Castrol 0w-20 EP at the next change.

Consistent overall w/previous samples. Good to note the Sodium went down but they raise the coolant as a source. Perhaps not all coolants have Potassium as an ingredient? It would be nice to know how this Euro 0w-20 is any different from their other products other than Euro approvals. The additive pack seems to not be anything much different. The results for 8k are good. Are you certain 16k oil change on some of those LR's are not Kilometers? Ford made an engine in one of these that is similar in design as my 08' XC90. Thought that was interesting but Ford got out of that ownership & I think a company out of India now owns them? Just thinking out loud. I think your LRD is doing really well on this 0w-20 Euro.

Everything looks to be holding up well. Do you plan on continuing with 8k OCI?
Yep, earlier variants of this engine had timing chain / tensioner issues - one suspected reason was the extended OCI's.

Thanks! They stated elevated sodium was a trend noticed in the Top Tec 6600 UOA's. JLR specs 16k miles for this AJ126 engine, newer Ingenium engines spec 21k miles! Sticking with 8k max.. Went with the Valvoline Euro based on Gokhan's list, will probably bounce between that and Castrol EP.

12/2023 sample was LM Top Tec 6600? It held its viscosity a lot better than the other oils.
