First issue with my wife's 2018 Cherokee. It cranked but wouldn't start. Had it towed to my local independent mechanic. Battery tested ok and I could smell fuel, so I think it's an ignition problem of some sort. Any ideas? I'll keep you updated.

My daughter and son in law have a 2019 model with the same 2.4 - it’s definitely sensitive to having clean fresh oil as ctechbob mentioned, due to the design of the VVT system. They also just replaced the battery not too long ago.

I picked up the Jeep yesterday. I somehow got bad fuel. FWIW I use(d) Sheetz E-15 in this car almost exclusively and never had any problems with it. When my mechanic pulled it into his shop it started after a minute of stumbling and a few attempts cranking the motor. He put a couple cans of Heet in the tank and that's all he had to do. I topped it off with Sunoco premium and 6 oz. of Lucas fuel treatment. No issues so far so I suspect the fuel line had frozen.
