2017 GMC 2500 4wd CCSB Duramax base model, 60k miles, no mods.

Wanted some suggestions for air filters.

Truck is driven in hot South Texas climate, lots of dust and wind.

I might buy truck from a friend for a decent price.

Thank you

I've used all kinds of air filters from oem to cheap aftermarket in my old gmc's and have racked up over 500k on just those two combined and that original metal is just fine to this day. It's honestly best just to have a better oil filter to filter more of the junk out that the air filter couldn't stop. That's why i have 20um at 99% efficiency fram tough guard or ultras on it and a cheap supertech air filter. I've used orange cans in a pinch and they're just fine. But better to take more out.

From my experience doing fleet work on semis tractors service vans and forklifts the air filter is the most important filter.
