2016 Mazda CX-5 Elec Parking Brake - Need Help

Maintenance mode retracts the piston. Doing the procedure again extends it and it learns where the rotor is...perhaps you exited maintenance mode while the caliper was still off, extracting the piston all the way?

Or any chance you pressed on the brake while the caliper was off? No different than if you had a car without an EPB, hung the caliper loose and then stepped on the brake pedal. The pedal would probably go to the floor and pop the piston out.

My wife drives a 2016 CX-5.... the EPB annoys me.
Exactly, I press on the brake while de caliper was off, my bad. I took off the caliper and found out there was a maintenance mode, so when I tried to put in maintenance mode I press the brake instead of the gas. So I disconnected the caliper completely to work on it on the workbench, I screw back the inner piston all the way, then push the outer piston back. Reconnect everything and bleed it. Hydraulic brake works great, it's just the electronic side the problem. From RonLoveMazda's post, I must have screw the inner piston too far?? So is this fixable or should I get a new caliper?
