I purchased a 2016 John Deere 1025R TLB about a month ago. It only had 16 hours. It was filthy with west texas dust. I changed the oil and put back in 10W30 John Deere Break In Oil and will run it to 100 hours. There was only a few minor differences vs this 2016 UOA vs the 2023 VOA but was still interesting to see. I now have a little over 24 hours, and will pile on alot more in the next month. Copper is likely from the factory oil cooler. John Deere Plus 50 II from the VOA database looks really strong to me so will likely stick with factory oil.

It was time to get that oil out. That JD 50 is a very popular oil on the small engine/tractor forums. Copper is most likely from bearings not cooler. Which is expected for the break-in period. Have fun with this JD.
