Well since he lives in Hawaii he doesnt have to worry about temperature.
Harley oil is a nice robust oil. Harley oils are not "rebranded" oils.
Its not cheap oil by any means but no OEM oils from any manufacturer is. Still you could do far worse, its a proven stout oil and there is certainly nothing wrong with the OP using it. Some people buy much more expensive oil based on nothing but marketing.
Harley oil is formulated by Citgo for Harley Davidson and tested by Harley Davidson in their motorcycles for hundreds of thousands of miles.
MANY oils on the market today, more so the "boutique" oils are produced in the same way.
With the above said, I dont use HD oil, I did in the beginning and after writing this post I feel like using it again! *L*
No other oil has been proven in UOAs on this forum to be any better when it comes to wear and none proven over the long run.
I still do use their Formula+ in the Trans and Primary.
Bottom line, its whatever makes us happy, my only reason for this post is I believe HD oil to be every bit as good and better as the oils other people use, including myself, maybe a bit more expensive then other for perceived value but whatever, like any OEM its not like its a mass market item either.
