2016 Grand Caravan lifter tick

I took the vehicle to the shop this morning. It would appear that the tick had gone away. I've been running a pint of Seafoam in the oil. I will do an extended drive tomorrow to see if the tick is indeed gone. Then I will do an oil change.

It is a somewhat common issue. The 10K oil changes probably did not help and no amount of chemicals will fix the issue at this point. I would consider fixing the issue correctly as Trav outlined.

I plan on doing an oil change soon. I will see if the ticking returns. I have a bottle of LiquiMoly Hydraulic Lifter Additive. Not sure whether to do that or just go with oil.

use a heavier oil, like a 10/15W40, this might reduce the excessive clearance (drain down)in the lifters
