Yes crush washers or drain plug gaskets what ever you want to call them
Should be replaced every oil change

Just buck up and buy like ten or twenty keep a few extra in the glove box incase you have to have the oil
Changed somewhere for some unplanned reason
Why?
Jiffylube would like to keep your factory plug and put on a weird aftermarket one piece crush washer plug.
If you have your own washer you can retain the factory plug and not have to worry about it fitting your drain plugs

Where does the washer go exactly? I only ask now cause I thought it was used for the oil filter but it appears it's for the drain plug? If so, I do not need them as I have a fumoto valve I am installing.

Thank you and thanks to everyone else. Looks like I have all the info I need at this time. I appreciate all your help.
