2015 Impala 10th gen rear brake pad replacement

Before I tear into this, do these caliper pistons require a special tool or procedure to compress? I do have a kit for many calipers but these have the electric parking brake so this is new to me.

you may need a scan tool to reset the monitors

You MUST retract the caliper via a scan tool or other method or damage will happen if you try to push them in without them being in service mode. There are ways to do it w/o a scan tool -Google brings up the methods. Once in serviced mode and pads changed then you must exit service mode.
