Nothing wrong with that. As good a reason as any.

Well folks,

I changed the oil today and went with Havoline instead. Keeping my oci to the severe service schedule, between 3750 and 4000 miles, I couldn't justify using a synthetic for such a short time.

Thanks again.

About 4 years ago Oreilly's had Havoline conventional on sale for $1.99 a quart. I bought about 6 cases of 5w20 for both of our vehicles at the time doing 5k oil changes for a total of about 30k miles each vehicle. Great stuff. Kept the engine quite, didn't use any amount to speak of and the engine fill hole looked just as clean after that time frame. I would've kept using it but I switched to high mileage oil on both since they were at about 100k miles.

I agree MuzzleFlash40, Havoline is very good oil and has recently changed to a lower Ca add pack which is supposed to be better for GDi applications. I have been contemplating the 5w20 for the Sonata myself, and Delo for the Santa Fe Turbo. Enjoy the ride.
