Yep, it only had a few thousand miles on it.

Maybe that would explain some of the "off" feeling to me, the engine and trans just always seemed busy trying to figure things out. It was a very smooth trans besides the occasional hard 2-1 downshift, that would jolt you forward in your seat.

It still could have been a 2013. There are still many new 2013s on the lot. There are some visual differences between the two, but if you are that familiar, you may not notice. The main differences are grille, front bumper, headlights, "Grand Cherokee" emblem instead of side moldings, and the '14s no longer have rear flipper glass due to a larger rear spoiler. Lets assume it was a Laredo. Here's a link to each:
