2014 Ford Explorer - Orange (and who knows what) to yellow coolant flush

Hi,
Just bought a 2014 Explorer with 3.5 from a dealer. Currently has orange antifreeze in it. Want to migrate to yellow VC-13-G. I've read yellow reacts with anything other than distilled water. I don't know if the previous owner put tap water in or not so I would prefer to do a flush. I've only seen drain and fill procedures. *EDIT-ADD* I want to make sure there are no reactions or anything out of order as the 3.5 has the internal water pump and I want to walk gingerly around it to get as many years as possible without having to replace that thing.

Is there a better way to do this to confirm as much of the prior coolant is out to prevent the new coolant from reacting if there happens to be water other than distilled?

Yellow is fully compatible with the previous Ford Orange that is now obsolete from Ford. Have an F150 that is running just fine with a dump and fill with the new yellow on top of the old orange...

From Ford themselves...

Yep, just did this myself after replacing the water pump in my 2016 Explorer 2.3L. Came with orange from the factory, but replaced what came out with Prestone AMAM (chemically identical to Motorcraft Yellow). The end result is a very light-colored coolant that is really hard to see the level of in the overflow tank :D
