2014 Maverick 1000r with a 1040cc big bore, race cams and tuned. Oil was HPL MATV 10w40. Oil has 575 miles and 23.8 hours. The engine holds just under 3 qts and NO oil was needed or added this past summer. Machine has 1,737.90 miles and 93.80 hours. My riding season runs from May to Oct and I run mostly on unpaved forrest roads between 5,000 and 8,000 ft elevation. Ethanol free 91 oct fuel. Oil filter was HiFLO.

I wasn't worried about the oil, just curious to see how it held up. The rotax engine pretty much lives at 6,000 rpms and above. Same oil and filter will go back in.

Neat! I've never done a used oil analysis on our 13 maverick. But I don't drive it that hard.I have had problems in the past with non OEM oil filters not fitting correcty.

I assume the hoflo fits ok?

The HiFLO fits great for me.

Thanks for the UOA. My Commander 1000 just had it's first oil change. I plan to just do 24 month intervals on this machine. I do yearly ones in the XRC RR.

Do you use rim grease on the air filter sealing surface? I always run a thin layer of wheel bearing grease or rim grease if I have it. It definitely helps keep the particles out of the engine.
