2013 Rental Charger.

Had the opportunity to rent a V6 Charger. I have to say I really like the car. It had nice acceleration, handled well and I really like the brakes.

Car had 42 miles on it when I got it. Turned it back in with just over 550 on it.

Thinks I like.
No gas cap.
Seats were comfortable.
The displays were easy to use and navigate.
I loved how the cruise control worked.
Handled fairly well for a larger car.
Decent radio even for a rental.
The 3.6 V6 was very nice.
Overall the car rode smooth and was quieter than my most recent rental 2013 Honda with 200 miles on it when I got it.

Things that I found not pleasing to me. It maybe different for others.
Didn't like how the auto shifted, but I think that is true of most new cars for me.

I did not like how you selected gears. It was a traditional looking shifter, but it did not use a linkage. It was like you were activating a switch when you move the selector.

Front passenger seat could have moved back more.

Not to many gripes and aside from the gear shifter function the rest were just nit picky based off personal taste.

As with any car that has push button start, I do not care for it.

I think so. The Chevy SS comes out soon which will be RWD.

I could easily live with the Charger, maybe in 5 years.

I like to get a "new" to me daily driver every 5 to 8 years and try to get something in the 5 to 10 year old range. I sell the one and pay cash for the "new" one.

The Police Caprice is also RWD.Cadillacs are RWD as well.

Right, the Caprice is essentially an SS, just not as nice.

Infiniti G37/Q50 still RWD sedan.

All US-market LX/LC-cars are from Brampton, Ontario...actually, an old AMC plant.

The more I think about there are a lot of RWD sedans out there. Mercedes and BMW come to mind as well.

I've not driven one, but the way a Pentatar and 62TE trans pulls a Grand Carvan along, I'd imagine the Charger moves pretty well with one.

I'm not sure the Charger's automatic has anything in common with the 6spd 62TE, but I like the way they shift and behave as compared to many modern automagics.

It doesn't move along a ~4800lb+ Grand Cherokee with 5 spd very well. The new 8 speeds are much better though. It shines in the upper RPMs at passing speeds. It's quite weak off the line, and down low.

I had the pleasure of putting a couple hundred miles on a friend's Charger SRT8... There's a lot of fun stored up in that 6.2 liter engine.

The problem is... every cop is just waiting for you to do something... anything... stupid once they notice what you're driving.

I also rent them frequently and really like them. I also don't care for the way the 8 speed transmission shifts - mostly that if you floor it at highway speed, it takes about 20 seconds to get back to top gear. But I could live with that.

I would like to drive the SRT version.

Ooops, it's a 6.4 liter.

The new gen SRT's are quite a bit heavier but still run like a scalded dog in a straight line. The Charger version easily outran the new Impala SS in Car and Driver this issue. But due to it's extreme weight it could not handle as well.

It's the primary reason I have kept mine, my curb weight is actually about 4000 with nothing in the car. The weight listed below is the actual weight on digital scales with me and my BIL in the car.
