2013 Ford Edge 5w20 Valvoline maxlife

Used oil analysis for my 2013 Ford Edge 3.5 Dura-tech using 5W20 Valvoline maxlife been using that oil for the last few years, original owner was using Motorcraft synthetic blend. It's got 2000 miles on the oil, I was using a Motorcraft filter. Probably going to continue using this oil, its been doing real well and just change it every 4,000 miles..

Moly and iron looks good and thats what i like about valvoline. I'd go a bit more than 4k though and i wouldn't be afraid to try their 5w-30 since its got over 110k. Thanks for the uoa Scott.

Thanks, I’m running their daily protection at the moment, I’m wondering if there is a difference in the ad pack excluding seal conditioners. I may send in a VOA to compare.

Yes, I’ve searched the web. The regular Valvoline doesn’t get much attention, understandably.

Interesting, it’s the sn version and has an adpack that looks like it’s formulated for lspi (sn+,sp) minus any moly. maybe Valvoline was ahead of the times?!
