2013 Dodge Challenger Recall

So Chrysler doesn't know what the problem is? Kind of confused by the article, it's not the wiring harness but it might be?

O, I'm sure they know the exact problem. For legal reasons though, they'd like to keep as much of it as they can under wraps so a public statement can't be used against them in court should they get sued over this.

Funny that the LA Times article I read shows an SRT-8.... which isn't affected at all ;-)

~5000 affected vehicles, right at half have been sold and the remainder still in transit or dealer stock. Pretty quick catch, sounds like. On the other hand, seven incidents out of 5k vehicles in only 2 months since the last was produced... If left unchecked that would be a HUGE problem.

As for people questioning whether the cause is known... It just about has to be totally understood, or they couldn't have narrowed it down to an 8-week production window!
