The new XTL version has a virgin TBN of 8.9. After an OCI of 7100kms (1 year) I got a value of 6.1.

Was it keeping TAN in check while TBN was remaining high?

Not sure, I felt $100 for testing was enough for one interval (analysis + TBN + New TBN)

The test looks realistic to me. TBN is high with this oil, P on mine have been around the 500 mark, Zn should be under 100 (zinc free). I cant comment of the Toyota side of things.

Sorry, I didn't know that. I stand corrected.

I guess this must be one of those oils in which high dose of overbased calcium sulfonate is used as AW agent. Just like the OilExtreme. Must be the ultimate cleaning oil.
