Does anyone know what millage the first ATF fluid change should be made for a 2010 and 2011 Toyota Camry with the 4 cylinder engine?

I was looking at some used Camrys and assuming the previous owner did not service the trany I was wondering how low of a millage vehicle I should be looking at so that I could purchase one that has less miles on it than the recommended miles for the first trany fluid change.

Well, considering most cars even from this time are considered “fill-for-life”, generally you will hear mileage between 30-50k for trans fluid changes. 30k if you’re really anal, 50k if you’re normal, 100k if you’ve got plenty of money to replace transmissions instead of fluid.

Sounds good.

Id bet that Camry trans would still go 250k miles on original fluid. I think 50-60k miles would be my time to change the fluid.

Those call for ATF-WS, which is lifetime fill.

I usually recommend at 100k for normal service and 60k for city drivers, but I make it clear that it is not a mandatory service (to stay out of trouble with the authorities).

I'm with SubieRubyRoo...

There is no such thing as a lifetime fill with maximum life of that product being the end goal. I guess it's how you define "lifetime". Is your lifetime 100k, 200k, 300k, 400k?
