2011 Ford Ranger 4.0 SOHC, Amsoil Signature Series 5W-30 + MolySlip Oil Additive, 10,459 miles OCI

Third use of the Amsoil Signature 5W-30 + MolySlip combination with Amsoil EaO11 oil filter, about 10,000 miles per oil change, changed annually. With the Amsoil filter, 5 quarts of Amsoil + 10 oz of MolySlip was right at the full mark on the dipstick (not overfull).

This is the first analysis done. The truck had about 124,000 miles when the sample was taken at the oil change. I mailed the sample on 5 May and the report arrived in my e-mail yesterday.

The truck is not losing any coolant. See what you think of the comment about sodium.

Solid results. I wouldn't add anything to the oil though. It's unclear where that Na is coming from.

Do another UOA, after another 10k, & see if the Sodium trends down. It does appear there is no issues though. This is a great report on your Ranger!

Does Molyslip have sodium in it?
If there is one thing that I have learned on BITOG is oil additives are a big NO NO.
Just run the oil. Hell your wear might even go down.
