Here is the first used oil analysis I've performed on my Fiesta. I've had her since Christmas last year and have changed the oil twice before but this time my curiosity got the best of me so I sprung for a used oil analysis. I bought it with 23k on the clock and she now has almost 44k. Most of my driving is highway driving so I think this is partially why the report came back with such low numbers. I think I am going to stick with Pennzoil Platinum 5w20 and/or 0W20, use up my stash of K&N filters that are made in the USA and then switch to WIX or Napa Platinum filters since they're on sale by me quite often. I'm seeing 12K+ OCI's in the future with this combo. What are your thoughts guys?

Does this engine have a timing belt instead of chains? If so, that may be part of why the oil is in such great shape. I know the Fiesta ST has a belt but that may be a different engine...

I believe it is a timing belt. The manual states to change it at 150K. At the rate I am going, I will have to change that in less than four years from now! Since this report I've driven almost another 2K! Good thing this car routinely averages 36+ mpg with hard driving otherwise I would be broke!

After the current combo of PP and a P1 reaches 11K and gets sampled, the next round in the Fiesta will be a PU and Fram Ultra combo, run it to 15K, and then a used oil analysis on it. I am confident that combination will be able to handle that mileage without any issues.

dnewton3, your thoughts?
