I have a 2010 Mercury Milan with the i4 recently I was running the ac and all of a sudden the fans stopped blowing cold air and smoke starting coming out from underneath the passenger side dash and there was a strong electrical burning odor I shut the ac and fan off and the smoke stopped I have not turned it on since anyone able to tell me what might be going on.

A guess... the blower motor has failed and the wiring burnt up. or...the blower motor resistor and connector failed and over heated. If you are mechanically skilled it's not a hard job to replace these parts or shop can change them for you.

A blower motor looks to be incredibly easy to do on that car, should be the same steps as a Ford Fusion. Just a few screws.The first possibility is what I’m worried of I’m currently unemployed
You crawl under the dash and determine if it’s the blower motor or the resistor, and I’ll order you one on Amazon, send me a PM.
