2010 Mazda 3 Maintenance Advice

Had the oil changed and tire rotated on Thursday. Dealer found nothing wrong, and the rear pads still have 8mm! I was quite surprised since the previous generation Mazda 3s wore out rear pads very quickly. At this rate, this car may not need rear pads until 50k, despite mostly city driving.

I went ahead and replaced the engine air filter. It was dirty, but still usable-- but I replaced it anyway. Also added the fuel system cleaner. Together, seat of the pants feel says that the car seems peppier-- but it could be the placebo effect.

Since she's leaving give the car the works as this may be the last time it will see any honest maint done to it, you'll feel good knowing you sent her on her way with her car in top condition
