2010 camry transmission

just took delivery of a 2010 camry se.

there is no transmission dip stick and there is no mention at all of transmission service in the owners manual!!!!

is this going to be one of those "lifetime filled" transmissions?

it is a 6 spd auto, linked to a 4 cyl.

is this lifetime fill based on factual studies, or is lifetime to mean say 100,000 miles?

are transmissions and fluids THAT good now ???

Yes and no, depends on what they do, and the margin of safety you require. My father has a 96 camry, 288,000 miles, original fluid. I drain/fill my T-IV every 30,000 miles.

I just did a cooler line flush on my wifes Lexus 2008 ES350 at 50,000 miles. Very easy to do. But the fluid level check is very technical. Takes 12 quarts Toyota WS fluid to flush it. FWIW, the WS was very dirty but not burnt at 50k. I would never run it to 100k like the manual says. I was able to get the WS fluid for $6.60qt by the case from a local dealer.
