2009 Jaguar xf 4.2 n/a rear diff oil weight

Hi guys,

This has me a but conflicted. Im sourcing some diff oil for my Dads XF.

Its an 09 4.2 non supercharged.

From what I can tell, it took EITHER 75w90 or 75w140 depending on the build date.

Any trouble just running 75w140, or best to call a dealer with the VIN.

See if there's a VIN decoder that you can use to determine the build date. Is the diff limited slip or open?

Good idea, there may very well be. As far as I can tell, the non-supercharged V8's are open diff
