OK, so this is the wifes new Tahoe we're talking about.
I changed the FF at 2k with M1, did not reset the OLM and just let 'er roll. The car has been to AZ twice and used for transportation to / from work and today I changed the oil to PP (which I like, mostly because it is a Sopus product).
The OLM still indicated 19 per cent oil life left @ 9800 miles!! If I hadn't changed the FF, the original oil would be still in the engine for 9800 miles. Hmmmmm....
I changed the oil to Pennzoil Platinum 5w30 and used an A/C oil filter and reset the OLM.
For all intents and purposes, the OLM is going to want to go to nearly 10k miles before indicating it's time to change the oil. Is the Pennzoil Platinum up to that? Any input appreciated. Cheers!
