Friend of mine has an 08 Polaris 500. She needs to get the oil and front/rear diff's changed. It's been a while.

I'm using Rotella T6 in my Kawi Brute 750 engine sump and front diff. Questions are; can I use Rotella T6 in her engine sump; what can I use in the front/rear diff's??

Thanks much!

T6 will work in the engine, but Polaris back-speced everything to 5w50 a couple years ago so you might want to take that into consideration.

In the rear diff you can run any 80/90 or 75/90 gear oil you want.

The front diff is "special" and requires different lub. I believe the fluid offered by DNVDMAX would work ok, but I tried a non-Polaris fluid in my front diff and didn't seem to get the positive engagement of the front drive like before I changed it. In my mind, the Polaris Demand Drive fluid is the way to go for the front diff. But I'm not saying the Deere fluid won't work, just haven't tried it and didn't have good luck when trying to substitute away from a Polaris lube.
