2008 nissan sentra, gonna go with a Puro Classic filter and either QS green bottle or Kendall 5W30 liquid titanium for a 4k oci. just cant decide which oil to go with. which one is better in your opinion? also considering motorcraft semi syn 5W30 or chevron supreme.

Both great oils that have plenty of credibility in terms of real world performance. I for the sake of opinion, like SOPUS products (QS, Pennz, Shell) but all would meet your needs. I would go on to say that the oils you listed are a step up from the Chevron Supreme as the others are considered premium conventionals or at least that is how they are positioned in the market and the Chevron, a gas station brand.

Any brand name conventional SM, SN is good for up to 6-7k miles for normal driving condition.

If you are doing 4k OCI's any one of those choices will work very well. Go with what you can get the best deal on...it is really that simple. I wouldn't necessarily call Chevron Supreme a plain 'ol "gas station brand". Kendall 5w30 would or Motorcraft would probably be my coin flip. They will all serve you pretty well for sure though.

Didn't say there was any wrong with it... But to argue that Chevron Supreme, Formula Shell, Mobil Special is 'marketed' the same way as a QS, Pennzoil or Kendall is simply not true. That was my point, not the quality so much but how they are perceived in the market place.

Agreed. You should come up here once, though. Chevron oils up here are primarily available at gas stations and few other places. Buying oil at a gas station up here is a good chance to get fleeced, with the Flying J (no pun intended) gas stations being an exception.
Formula Shell, Chevron, and certain other "gas station brands" actually can be had here at a decent price if one know where to look. That availability is the issue, though.

what about super tech synthetic 5W30 and a P1 filter for 5k ocis? is this is a good oil, and could it go for 5k?
