2007 VW Jetta headlamp bulbs

The driver side DRL bulb is burnt out on my 07 MkV Jetta. I am debating to get basic Sylvania bulbs or XtraVision. Low and high beam bulbs are separate and all are H7.

Anyone have experience with this gen Jetta lights? Probably need to pickup something ASAP, Walmart has these in stock and so do the parts stores nearby.

No interest in Silver Stars and the like due to shorter lifespan. Is there THAT much difference between XtraVision and standard bulbs?

Any thoughts on Philips bulbs?

I would choose the basic/standard bulb. If the wattage etc is the same then it might be ok to try Xtra visions. My two cents.

Get whatever standard bulb if you want the longest life and don't touch the glass on the bulb!

Either is fine.

If you're willing to order online, you can get long-life bulbs that will last much longer, if it's difficult to change the bulbs on your car. For example, Osram Ultra Life

I’ve gotten good life out of these in a past vehicle. Have used them multiple times.

I decided to go with the XtraVisions. Just hope they don't burn out too soon being used in the DRL position. I've been seeing mixed reviews with some saying they don't last as long as plain Jane bulbs and others say they last longer lol. Not the same but I did put plain Sylvania halogens in my wifes car and wasn't too happy with the light output. I mean they work but kinda meh.
