Thank You for the replies !
Everyone kept telling me Royal Purple was no good for my turbo and to go with Mobil so I made the change and I can't see much difference between the two.
Thanks again.

Who is everyone? BITOG or elsewhere? Don't listen to the RP bashing here as most of it is from people who have never used it and the rest seem against it because it is purple or "cost too much"

.

I have yet to see more than a tiny handful who have actually used it and dislike it because of bad results. Frankly no more than any other brand. No oil is going to be great in all applications but RP is great stuff for most uses.

So those who have nothing to base their vitriol on but rumors, myths, and things totally unrelated to performance, are basically talking out of their lower orifice and basing the negatives on everything BUT actual use and results. If you like RP use it. It did ok in the other UOA.

Thank you !
It was mostly other forums and then some here also.
People talk toooo expensive RP, but I buy it at about the same as M1, so its not that.
I just want my turbo to live on.
Thanks Again

If those other forums involve people who have the same vehicle as you and have used RP, with bad results( they can show you - not just I heard from my Brother's, Sister's, Boyfriend's, Mailman, etc... ), then at least listen. That kind of feedback should be taken into account because it is based on real use and your specific application.

The detractors on this site, 99%+ of the time however, have never used it, used it once and had no bad results but still bash it, or bash it for reasons unrelated to performance( as said earlier cost and color ). IMO they should be ignored.

You have a UOA on RP however showing it did ok. I see no reason to swap if you like it. Goo back and run RP for the next 2 OCI's then do another UOA( after OCI 2 )and see what it looks like.

I get RP for good prices as well. People at BITOG think the only place you buy oil is in 5 qt jugs at WalMart. They base everything off that while forgetting there is a whole other world out there besides WalMart.

PS - are you running the API SN stuff or the HPS stuff from RP?

No real life proof from any so I'm going back to RP.
I just use the api sn.
I had turbo bearing issues before then I started the uoa's to see whats up. I believe the turbo issue was the recommended oil inlet fitting was restricted too much, we'll see soon.
The car usually only sees 6000 miles a year or less, so I change it twice a year.

Thanks again for your time !
