Changed the valve cover gasket on my 2007 Mazda 3 2.3 today. Car has 157k on it, I'm almost certain it had a used engine swapped in at some point prior to my ownership. For the last 6 years 30k miles its gotten annual changes with 5w-30 (last few years its been Chevron Syn-Blend). Looking good to me. What do you all think? It will use roughly 1 qt over a year and 5-7k miles.

Chevron Supreme has always showed good results.
I got 10 or 12 jugs of 5W-30 years ago on one of the walmart pricing errors and have been running it in my Mazda and the CR-V with great results. I'm finally out now and am not sure what I'll run going forward. I need another deal so I can stock back up on something new!

I’d say Super Tech all mileage oil or if Rural King is near you I’d say their Providence brand oil. Looks good, thank you for pics

Another option if you have a Costco near you is Kirkland HM. Just saw some pictures of it the other day. Goes on sale a couple times a year for around $15 for a 5 quart jug. Comes in a 2 pack, so $30.
